As part of the Young Climate Savers Program, Gujarat State Office organized a student’s workshop on Climate change & Global Warming from 22nd July to 24th July 2008 at 5 different schools of Ahmedabad. This workshop has been organized for students of 8th & 9th standard to generate awareness on global warming & climate change. An audiovisual talk was delivered on Global Warming & Climate Change, which was followed by a film show of 30 minutes. The presentation included the actual facts & figure, affects & effects of Climate Change. We also highlighted common tips for the students, which help in reducing the impacts of Climate Change & Global Warming. We had planned to finish the student’s workshop and a quiz competition before 31st July 2008. But due to the severe bomb blasts in Ahmedabad, the social conditions have become tense nowadays. This program will continue after the things get settled.
