    Teachers workshop:

    J. Mangalaraj Johnson, Chairman, WWF India Tamil Nadu State Office after extended a warm welcome to all the teachers who came to participated in the Young Climate Savers Workshop at gathered at ICSA Conference Hall, Egmore. He has read out the special message given by Shri Ravisingh SG & CEO. After self introduction by the teachers Ms. Farida Tampa, State Director, Andhra Pradesh, State Office had explained the programme.

    Dr. Arivudainambi, Chief Scientist, IPCC scientist MSSRF gave a lecture on the climate change. His key points were the possible solutions to conquer the perils of man-made climate change. During lunch, a film on climate change: An untold story a movie on the climate change was shown to the group.

    Dr. Ramanan, Director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre, Regional Meteorological Centre, India Meteorology Department, Chennai also an IPCC scientist highlighted the causes of and remedies for Global warming. Mr. S. Anand, Education Officer and Ms. Farida had conducted group activities on the concept of Young Climate Savers programme following the manual. They have also explained how the activities could be woven into the regular schedules irrespective of the subject, science, social studies, language etc.
