A series of field visits to facilities and sites significant to climate change, such as waste incineration plants, recycling and wastewater treatment plants, vulnerable beaches, forests, protected and ecologically sensitive areas, green buildings and centers of excellence for climate research have also been conducted in different states as part of the YCS project. These visits sought to provide practical, hands on experience to students on how climate changes were impacting the earth, and how mitigation measures operated. They also inculcated a greater sense of responsibility to students on diligently performing their roles in climate change mitigation with greater commitment.
