    For the Science and Environment Science teachers

    ACTIVITY PLAN:

    •    Introduce the students to the concept of air pollution

    •    Ask them to identify  an air pollutant

    •    Discuss the effects of pollution

    •    Relate pollution to health

    •    Is air pollution more in traffic crossings?

    •    Are there specific areas with higher percentage of pollutants

    •    Have a class discussion

    •    Does pollution affect animals?

    This can then be followed by an experiment using earthworms to show the impact of pollution on soil
