Food chain mobile

For the Science, Social Science, Environment Science and Crafts teachers

MAKE A FOOD CHAIN MOBILE

•    Using beads, threads, cardboard or other material make an interesting food chain mobile

•    Make at least three chains and place them on a ring these could be a polar, tropical temperate and ocean food chains

•    Put the mobiles up in class

ACTIVITY PLAN NO BEAR HUGS

For the language and science teachers

1. Ask the students the names of all the species affected by climatic change and global warming.

2. Discuss as to why they are being affected

3. On the classroom board ask the students to put the names of all these species

4. Bring out the role of each one of us in this and then tell them about the food chain and food web

After doing the above give them the worksheet for their creative inputs on polar bears.
They could also plan a short skit on the life of a polar bear in crisis today.
